traditional wrist watch movements are labour intensive & extremely fine mechanical devices, quartz movements are far more accurate than any mechanical movements and they cost almost nothing to make, so why do omega,rolex etc. still charge ridiculous prices ?. for a beautifully polished case?

Is it okay to clean Automatic Swiss Mechanical Movement watches in an ultrasonic cleaner?
